Peninsula Insurance is a multiple property and casualty lines carrier currently doing business in Delaware, Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. With headquarters based in Salisbury, Maryland, we write comprehensive and affordable personal auto, homeowners, manufactured homes, motorcycle and personal umbrella policies. Our Commercial Lines Department continues to grow, and has developed a reputation in the marketplace for competitive products in the areas of commercial auto, businessowners, workers compensation, garage liability, inland marine and commercial umbrella.

Although a smaller regional carrier, we have consistently outperformed the insurance industry as a whole. Peninsula Insurance is rated "A" excellent by A. M. Best. Our direct written premium volume for 2006 was over $42.9 million dollars. As of January 2004, Peninsula Insurance became a member of the Donegal Group Inc., located in Marietta, Pennsylvania.

Standard Lines Department

Our standard automobile rates in Maryland are extremely competitive with other preferred auto carriers. Our experienced underwriting team continues to provide great service in securing these customers. We also offer a comprehensive homeowners program that offers replacement costs on home and contents. When packaged with our auto program, we provide up to 10% discounts on both the homeowners and auto plans.

Special Risks Department

In our Special Risks Department, we specialize in writing insureds who do not qualify for standard or preferred auto policies. We provide these policyholders a competitive alternative to other non-standard markets. In this program, we offer many discounts, including safe driving, safe driver transfer, multi-car, homeownership and renewal. Besides auto, we also offer manufactured home, motorcycle and boat programs to accommodate the insurance needs of a wide variety of insureds.

Commercial Lines Department

Our Commercial Lines Department specializes in providing comprehensive coverage at a competitive rate for the small to mid-sized commercial account. All types of commercial coverage are available to make it easy to have an entire account under one policy. Services for the policyholder include: risk management, property appraisal and loss analysis. Assistance for OSHA compliance is also available, all without additional costs. The Commercial Department's goal is to develop a partnership between the company, agent and policyholder.
